The Wisp Air's breathable pad is easy to remove and machine wash when messes happen. You can put baby to sleep on the mattress with a crib sheet while the pad is in the wash. The pad is also available separately to have a backup.
The Wisp Air is waterproof to help prevent contamination from urine, spit-up, and other messes in your baby's crib. A non-waterproof mattress may be difficult or impractical to keep clean, and a soiled mattress can lead to bacteria growth, mold, and mildew.
